- Position:Hospitality Assistant (Kitchen Focus) - 15 hours permanent contract
- Hourly Rate: £13.45 per hour
- Location:Solihull Retirement Village, Birmingham, B90 2FH
While your title is Hospitality Assistant, your daily focus will be the "engine room" of our kitchen, primarily performing Kitchen Porter duties. This includes:
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across all kitchen and food prep areas.
- Managing the pot wash station, ensuring all equipment, cutlery, and crockery are sparkling and ready for service.
- Assisting our culinary team with basic food prep and ensuring the chefs have the tools they need, exactly when they need them.
- Helping with deliveries and keeping storage areas tidy.
- Supporting front-of-house when required, including clearing tables and ensuring hospitality areas are presentable.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in a job well done and enjoys the fast-paced rhythm of a kitchen environment. You will have:
- You are happy to focus on cleaning, washing up, and supporting the back-of-house team.
- A team player who can work effectively with chefs and front-of-house staff.
- Someone our residents and team can count on.
- While this role is kitchen-focused, you are comfortable stepping into customer-facing areas when the village is busy.
- Experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is an advantage.
- ExtraCare does not participate in the current "UK Visa Sponsorship" scheme. You must be able to evidence your Right to Work in the UK.
- This post is subject to two satisfactory references, medical clearance, and Home Office right to work clearance.
