Home Energy Advisor (Green Doctor) - Salary £26,239 - £28,554 per annum.
Location, Hours and ContractLocation: Various locations across the North East (Sunderland, Gateshead, Newcastle and Durham). Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week. Contract: Permanent.

About the RoleGreen Doctor will support those in need across the region by engaging and offering practical support to people most at risk of fuel poverty. The role involves assessing homes, fitting practical energy saving measures and providing tailored advice to residents. The position requires a confident communicator who can engage the community, deliver informal training, and encourage referrals to the Green Doctor programme.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with community members to identify energy efficiency needs.
- Conduct home assessments and recommend suitable interventions.
- Fit and implement practical energy saving measures.
- Provide residents with energy saving advice and guidance.
- Deliver informal training sessions to raise awareness about fuel poverty and energy efficiency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised, adaptable and able to work independently.
- Experience in engagement, community work or a related field.
- Appropriate qualifications in energy efficiency are useful but not essential; full in job training will be provided.
