About this job

What skills and experience we're looking for

Have a Level 3 qualification in teaching assistance or equivalent

Have experience of working within the Early Years Foundation Stage, specifically with children aged two years old

Be able to plan and deliver appropriate activities to meet the needs of the children in the two year old room

Have experience of completing the 'Progress Check' for two year olds and other relevant assessments of development towards milestones

Have experience of liaising with a range of professionals (e.g Health Visitors)

Have high expectations for all children

Have the ability to build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treating them with respect and kindness, and demonstrating consideration for their development as learners

Be able to provide cover for teachers in other areas of the Early Years when required

Demonstrate high standards of spoken and written English

Work as part of an effective team

Carry out administrative tasks to a good standard, including using ICT

Be prepared to contribute to all aspects of school life
