History Teacher

Supply Staff Ltd are currently recruiting for a History Teacher to join a secondary school in Romford from January 2027 on a maternity cover basis.

The role will involve teaching a timetable consisting primarily of History, alongside some additional Humanities teaching. The successful History Teacher will join a supportive secondary school environment and deliver engaging lessons while maintaining high standards of behaviour and supporting pupils throughout their learning.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching History at secondary level

• Strong subject knowledge across History and Humanities

• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills

• Able to plan and deliver engaging lessons

• Committed to supporting pupil progress and achievement

• Available to interview before October half term

The Role:

This is an opportunity for a History Teacher to take on a maternity cover position from January 2027, with approximately half of the timetable focused on History alongside other Humanities teaching.
