Hire Fitter Driver

Role Overview

As Hire Fitter/Driver, you will split your time between the workshop-servicing and maintaining a diverse fleet of plant and tools-and the road, delivering and collecting equipment directly to and from customer sites. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves the technical side of hire but also enjoys being out and about.

At a Glance

• Location: Roscommon Town
• Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (39 hrs/week)
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday (Saturday roster may apply)
• Licence Required: Category C (Rigid) + CPC Licence - Essential

What You'll Be Doing

Plant & Tool Maintenance

• Cement Mixers, Concrete Power Floats, Plate Compactors, Poker Vibrators - service, repair and ensure readiness

Driving & Logistics

• Delivery and collection of hire equipment to and from customer sites
• On-site repairs and breakdown support
• Vehicle health & safety management and tachograph management
• PAT testing and fleet readiness checks
• Providing safe use demonstrations to customers
• Upholding health & safety policies at all times

What We're Looking For

• Experience in the plant and tool hire industry
• Strong mechanical/fitter skills across plant, tools, and engines
• Valid Category C (Rigid) Licence - mandatory requirement
• Responsible and safety conscious approach to driving and workshop tasks
• Good communication skills and a customer focused attitude
