Highways Quality Engineer

Overview

A great opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to step into a senior role on one of the UK's flagship infrastructure programmes on a freelance basis. You'll be working across multiple sites, ensuring works meet the highest technical and regulatory standards. This is a chance to take ownership of quality processes on complex civil engineering schemes, while supporting and developing project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance activities across a range of project packages
• Prepare, review, and maintain Inspection & Test Plans
• Ensure works meet design, technical, and regulatory standards
• Compile and manage records required for project handover
• Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced engineers
• Act as the main point of contact for quality discussions with stakeholders
• Promote best practice and drive improvements to existing processes

About You

• Background in civil engineering (HND/Degree desirable)
• Solid track record of working on large-scale infrastructure schemes
• Strong understanding of quality standards and assurance within construction
• Experience with highways, structures, or earthworks is an advantage
• Confident communicator, able to work effectively with multiple parties
• CSCS card holder with the right to work in the UK
