Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

New Directions Education are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supply team in the Caerphilly Borough. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who enjoys working across different year groups and school settings while making a positive impact on pupils' learning.

The Role

As a Supply HLTA, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.
• Lead small group and one-to-one interventions to raise pupil attainment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to provide an inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt to different classroom settings while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning.
• Contribute to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils.

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

• Hold HLTA status or have equivalent experience.
• Have recent experience working within a primary school.
• Be confident leading whole-class learning.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.
• Be flexible, reliable and able to adapt quickly to different schools.
• Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
