We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Caterham. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys taking the lead, supporting pupils across the classroom and making a real difference every day.

You'll be working closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child has the chance to thrive.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering planned learning activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes
• Providing classroom cover when required
• Leading targeted interventions and supporting pupil progress
• Adapting activities to meet a range of learning needs
• Supporting pupils with SEND, building confidence and encouraging independence
• Helping to create a calm, structured and engaging classroom environment
• Working closely with teachers and other school staff to ensure pupils receive the right support

We'd love to hear from you if you have

• Previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar higher-level support role
• A recognised HLTA qualification, or relevant experience supporting teaching and learning
• Confidence delivering lessons and managing a classroom independently
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, positive approach
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including adapting learning to individual needs
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine ability to build positive relationships

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
