Job Description
Higher Level Teaching Assistant

£100 - £135 per day depending on experience, duration of assignment, training and qualifications.

Location & Working Hours

Wakefield. Flexible start dates with immediate opportunities. Full time, temporary and daily supply roles available.

The Role

We are seeking supportive, nurturing, creative and inspirational higher level teaching assistants who can provide an individualised and highly personalised learning experience for their unique class of pupils, supporting children with SLD, PMLD, learning and sensory needs.

Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in planning and implementing purposeful learning activities using the teachers' framework.
  • Assist teachers in monitoring and evaluating young people's progress and achievements using a variety of assessments.
  • Help support children with SLD, PMLD, learning and sensory needs in achieving exceptional outcomes.
  • Provide assistance to teachers and support schools as required.
Requirements
  • Be able to undertake a thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
  • Have demonstrable experience of supporting and achieving exceptional outcomes with SEND learners within a mainstream or special needs setting.
  • Be able to support schoolsufficiently in what they require.
  • Driving is not essential but advised.
