Higher Level Teaching Assistant

A fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming and well-established specialist school in Yeovil, Somerset. You will support students aged 5 to 16, working at KS1 and KS2 learning levels, with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and social, emotional and behavioural needs.Secondary phase work is also available, offering variety in your role.

• Deliver and support pre-planned lessons across the classroom
• Lead learning activities for small groups and whole classes
• Provide tailored support to pupils with complex SEN needs
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement
• Assist with planning and adapting learning materials
• Work collaboratively with teachers and wider support staff

• Full-time, immediate start
• Hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm

• Minimum 6 months childcare experience (essential)
• Experience supporting children with SEN
• HLTA qualification or relevant experience desirable
• Confident leading learning and supporting class delivery
• Patient, proactive and adaptable approach
