Job Description

Due to continued growth we are delighted to announce we are currently recruiting for an experienced and highly motivatedHGV/ LGV Workshop Technician/ Mechanicto join our thriving business.This role, which is based at our site inOldbury, will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to be part of the UK's leading parcel delivery business.

This role will be working days covering a continental shift pattern of 4 on 4 off ondays 06.40- 19:00

As the successful HGV Technician/Mechanic, you will reportto the Workshop Manager and be a key member of the team. Working in a time critical distribution environment, your key accountabilities will include;

• Servicing and maintaining DPD's fleet of approximately 1500Mercedes Benztractor units and in 2700 trailers.
• Fault Diagnosticson vehicles
• MOT Preparationfor the vehicles
• Weekly/ monthly checks of HGV vehicles
• Mechanical and Electrical repairson vehicles

Qualifications

About You

As the successful candidate you will have had experience working within a similarHeavy GoodsorHeavy Plantrole, or have knowledge ofyellow goods repairs. Ideally you will be Level 3 trained inVehicle Maintenance and Repair or be a time served technician.

You will have knowledge of working onMercedes, DAF, Dennis, Volvo and Renaultvehicles.

It would be advantageous if you wereirtech licencequalified however this is not essential as we can provide further accreditation for this.
