Job Description
HGV Technician / Truck Fitter
Location: Warrington
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £40,170 - £42,158 per annum (dependent on experience & qualifications)
Shifts: Week 1 - 06:00-14:00 / Week 2 - 14:00-22:00 SATURDAY 6:00-12:00.
Overtime: Available based on workload
Located on the outskirts of Warrington with excellent motorway links, we provide high-quality servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a wide range of customer fleets. Due to continued growth, we are recruiting an additional HGV Technician to join our busy and experienced team.
About the Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and inspection of customer vehicles to ensure full compliance with legal requirements and company standards. You'll play a key role in keeping vehicles road-safe and operational, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out inspections, servicing, and maintenance on HGV trucks and trailers
Prepare vehicles and trailers for MOT testing
Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs
Record vehicle defects and accurately document all work completed
Repair minor accident damage
Work safely and adhere to all health & safety procedures
Skills & Experience Required
Proven commercial experience working on HGV trucks and trailers (essential)
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
Experience using diagnostic systems (preferred but not essential)
Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
