Location: Mansfield

Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on Experience

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 pm - 6:00 am

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 48 per week

Experienced HGV Technician - Permanent Night Shift

Are you an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic looking for a permanent night-shift role with the potential to earn up to £55,000 per year, depending on experience?

We're recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join an established commercial vehicle workshop, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across HGVs and trailers.

This is a small night-shift team, so you'll need to be confident working independently, using your own technical experience to diagnose faults and complete repairs with minimal supervision.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs and trailers.
  • Routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Mechanical and electrical defect repairs.
  • Fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Using manufacturer diagnostic systems and specialist tooling.
  • Completing job cards, service sheets and online records accurately.
  • Working to manufacturer, industry and health & safety standards.
  • Taking ownership of your workload throughout the night shift.
About You

We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic with:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar HGV role.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent - essential.
  • Strong HGV mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience working on HGVs and trailers.
  • Confidence working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable, professional approach and high standards of workmanship.
  • HGV Licence - desirable.
