HGV Driver (Class 1 / Class 2) - Removals & LogisticsLocation: AylesfordContract: PermanentPay: Up to £17.00 per hour (DOE)About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and dependable HGV Driver (Cat C or CE) to join a growing removals and logistics team in Aylesford. This role involves driving large goods vehicles while supporting relocation services, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of customers' belongings.This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience as an HGV Driver, LGV Driver, Class 1 Driver (C+E), Class 2 Driver (Cat C), CPC Driver, or Transport Driver, particularly within removals, logistics, or delivery operations.You will also work closely with the removals team, supporting duties typically associated with a Removals Driver, Driver's Mate, Furniture Mover, Moving Operative, or Loader, making this a great opportunity for drivers who enjoy a mix of driving and hands-on work.Key Responsibilities
- Operating HGV vehicles (Class 1 / Class 2 - Cat C or CE) for household and commercial removals
- Safe transporting, loading, and unloading of furniture and goods
- Working as a Removals Driver / Logistics Driver delivering relocation services
- Supervising and assisting the team, including Removals Porters, Van Loaders, and Removal Assistants
- Supporting packing and handling as part of a moving operative / removals team
- Completing vehicle
- Delivering excellent customer service during relocations
- Ensuring all items are securely loaded and protected during transit
- Valid HGV / LGV licence (Category C or C+E / Cat CE)
- Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience as an HGV Driver, Class 1 Driver, Class 2 Driver, LGV Driver, Delivery Driver (HGV), or Transport Driver
- Ability to undertake physical duties including loading and unloading
- Experience in removals, logistics, multi-drop, or transport environments is advantageous
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and professional approach
- Background as a Removals Driver, Relocation Driver, or Furniture Removal Driver
- Experience working alongside Driver's Mates, Removals Operatives, or Loaders
- Knowledge of packing, manual handling, and furniture protection techniques
- Competitive pay with overtime available (OT after 40 hours)
