HGV Class 1 Day Driver

As an HGV Class1 Day Driver based in Sheffield, you will join Pertemps Sheffield on a full time, ongoing contract with a leading utilities firm. This role offers Monday to Friday day shifts, with no weekend or bank holiday work required. The pay rate is £17.93 per hour, rising to £20.93 for overtime after 40hours weekly.

• Deliver goods, materials, plant and equipment to operational sites.
• Perform stock checks, replenish engineer lockers and safe loading/unloading of the vehicle.
• Carry out stock checks and put away stock at various locations.
• Load and unload the vehicle safely.
• Deliver materials and equipment to live operational sites.
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure all paperwork is accurate.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within stores and vehicles.
• Provide a high standard of customer service to engineers and internal stakeholders.
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies at all times.

• Valid HGV Class1 (CategoryC+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ideally 2years of Class1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Experience securing loads safely.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph legislation.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, proactive and safety conscious approach to work.
• No ADR licence required.
