Herd Health Manager

We have a great opportunity for someone with a passion for getting cows in calf and dealing with fresh cows.

This is a non-milking role which concentrates on the herds health on a 1,000-cow unit which is fully housed. The primary focus for this role is the serving of cows which are identified using collars and also fixed time serving. Alongside this, you will be carrying out fresh-cow checks and dealing with any sick cows in the herd. Also, you will be responsible for identifying any lame cows and drafting them out for the contract hoof trimmer.

This position would be ideal for perhaps someone who has been an AI technician but wants to concentrate their skills on a single farm and work within a team.
