The Vacancy
Special conditions applying: We require all our Heat Meter Technical Engineers to have their criminal records checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This is due to the nature of the role going into customers' homes. This is in accordance with the BUUK Recruitment of Ex-Offenders Policy

Metropolitan are looking for a Heat Meter Technical Engineer who would like to help us reach our mission to "earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service".
As the Heat Meter Technical Engineer your key responsibilities are
- Quality assurance and sign off, of all Heat Meter Assets and infrastructure of new sites being adopted by the Heat Operations team.
- Maintenance and repair of all Heat Meter Assets and infrastructure.
- Project management of a range of activities focused on the continuous operation of our portfolio Heat Meter Assets.
- Tracking and reporting of risks and opportunities.
- Acting as Metropolitans expert, providing advice and guidance to our sales and engineering team to ensure our design and build requirements adhere to our technical specifications
About you
- NVQ Level 2 plumbing and heating or demonstrable experience.
- Knowledge of a range of heat meter solutions with the ability to install, maintain and repair faults to the most recognised technology within Heat Networks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Full UK driving licence.
