- Hours: 35 hours per week, 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday
- Location: HMS Excellent, Whale Island, Portsmouth PO2 8ER with hybrid working
- Contract: Fixed-Term (12 Months)
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Project Manager to lead the next phase of growth for our unique Heart of Oak Memory Tree. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop a meaningful commemorative giving programme, building supporter engagement, increasing income and ensuring an exceptional experience for those choosing to remember loved ones through this special initiative. Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and working within our Individual Giving team, you will play a key role in unlocking the programme's long-term potential.
Role ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with colleagues, partners and suppliers, the Heart of Oak Project Manager will ensure the successful delivery and ongoing management of the Heart of Oak Memory Tree programme. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the Heart of Oak Memory Tree, ensuring activities are delivered effectively and in line with agreed objectives.
- Developing and overseeing project plans, timelines and budgets, ensuring resources are managed efficiently and targets are achieved.
- Coordinating the work of internal teams and external partners to deliver marketing campaigns, fulfilment activities and supporter communications.
- Managing supplier and agency relationships, monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and value for money.
- Maintaining oversight of the digital platform and supporter journey, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for users.
- Monitoring programme performance through analysis of sales, donations, engagement and other key metrics, producing regular reports and recommendations.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with supporters, naval organisations, veterans' groups and other stakeholders connected to the programme.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, strengthen governance and support the long-term sustainability of the initiative.
- Preparing business cases, project updates and performance reports for senior stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making and future planning.
- Ensuring all activity is delivered in accordance with RNRMC policies, procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in project/product management. They will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to communicate in a friendly, professional, and confidential manner. The role will suit those with a positive and flexible approach and an ability to remain calm under pressure.
Whilst character is important to us, we do require a certain level of experience to succeed in this role. This includes:
- Experience in Project Management & marketing, supporter engagement or a similar role.
- Experience of delivering campaigns, projects or engagement activities.
- Experience of using CRM systems.
- Experience Fundraising or individual giving would be an advantageous.
