Job Description

TheAdministrator will be responsible for undertaking a wide range ofadministrative duties and the provision of administrative support to themultidisciplinary team.

The post-holder willsupport staff with the distribution of information, messages and enquiries forthe clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and externalagencies such as secondary care and community service providers.

The post-holder will be anintegral part of the Practice team.

Main duties of the job

Duties can include, but are not limited to, supporting the Administration Team with patient registration, processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner and in accordance with current policies, as well as attending and taking minutes for meetings within the Practice.

Job responsibilities

The following are the coreresponsibilities of an Administrator in delivering health services, here maybe, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will bedependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

a.Undertakea broad spectrum of administrative duties commensurate with the role

b.Processincoming and outgoing mail, emails and electronic document transfer (via EMISworkflow)

c. File and securely store patientrecords as required

d. Comply with GDPR and patientconfidentiality guidelines and regulations

e.Processchanges to patient registration, including change of address, deduction ofrecord and new patient registration

f.Inputdata into the patients healthcare records as necessary including coding ofinformation and scanning of patient correspondence

g.Recallpatients as part of annual, and quarterly, health checks and follow-ups forlong-term conditions and other health related conditions

h.AttendPractice meetings and take minutes, circulating minutes to the Practice teamand maintaining records of actions taken and outstanding

i.Beaware of duties and responsibilities regarding current legislation and adhereto practice policies and procedures on safeguarding adults and safeguardingchildren

j.Havea thorough knowledge of all Practice policies and procedures, working inaccordance with written protocols

k.Undertakeall mandatory training and induction programmes

l.Maintaina clean, tidy, effective working area at all times

There may be, on occasion, a requirement tocarry out other tasks, this will be dependent upon factors such as workload andstaffing levels
