Lead Chef - Healthcare Site

Location: Burnham-on-Sea

Hours: 36 hours per week (shift work & alternate weekends)

Pay: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour

We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Lead Chef to oversee the kitchen at a healthcare site in Burnham-on-Sea, catering for approximately 42 residents. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident chef looking to step into a leadership role within a supportive and rewarding environment.

The Role:

• Preparing and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals for residents
• Leading and supporting a small team of 2 part time chefs and 2 kitchen assistants
• Planning menus in line with dietary and nutritional requirements
• Managing stock, ordering, and reducing waste
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and health & safety
• Organising kitchen operations to ensure smooth service

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience as a chef, ideally within healthcare or large-scale catering
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen awareness
• Good organisational and time management abilities
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to high standards
