Job Description

Do you want to help people access the care and support that they need? Would working at night help you to manage your work/life balance?

Then working night shifts as a Health and Social Care Service Advisor in Health and Social Care Connect may be the role for you.

You do not need any health or social care experience as we provide comprehensive training and a supportive environment in which to gain the knowledge of the range of health and social care support and services that are available for adults in the community and how these can be accessed by, and for the residents of East Sussex. Having health or social care experience is not essential for this role as we will provide training.

This is not a hands on caring or support worker role but one that provides a valuable service to the community, to health and social care professionals and partner organisations such as the emergency services. We provide ongoing training and the opportunity to develop and progress a career in health and social care.

This is an office based role and staff work shifts on a rota basis covering the hours of 8pm to 8am, including weekends and bank holidays. There are pay enhancements for weekend and night working. This is a 24/7 service and on occasion you may be required to work a day shift and initial training is provided during traditional office hours.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have IT and communication skills;
  • Have customer service experience;
  • Are self-motivated and who possess personal resilience to manage the large volumes of referrals coming into our service;
  • Are able to work in a fast paced environment.

To apply for this role please upload your CV and supporting statement. When writing your supporting statement be sure to address how you meet all the criteria in the person specification drawing on any relevant work/life experience, education or personal interests. For guidance on how to write an application see ourhow to apply page.

Please note that sponsorship is not available for this role.

Interview dates will be confirmed following the closing date for applications. They will take place via Microsoft Teams unless you request an in-person interview. If you are unavailable on the dates let us know and we may be able to schedule an alternative date to interview you. Candidates who meet certain criteria are given priority when we shortlist. See our priority status page for details.

We offer a diverse range of benefits to help and support you during your employment. More information can be found on ourbenefits page.

Health and Social Care Connect can offer you a unique opportunity to support people in your community to access the care and support they need.
