Role: Health and Safety Business Partner

Location: Location independent - We offer Choice based working that gives you the opportunity to work from a UK location of your choice, we also offer various Konica Minolta office and Regus office spaces across the UK. You may be required to travel to a customer at the needs of the business.

Fixed term contract for 18 months

We are seeking a Health and Safety Business Partnerto join our team at Konica Minolta!

As a Health and Safety Business Partner at Konica Minolta, you will be responsible for the development and effective delivery of the health and safety and environment management system. ensuringlegal compliance and the safety and health of all employees.

This will include the following:

  • Health and Safety compliance- Manage H&S Management System in accordance with, and maintain certification to, ISO 45001 standard and SSIP (SafeContractor). Deliver this across business areas collaborating with identified stakeholders also responsible for Health and Safety. Ensuring annual compliance training is issued and completed by all employees. Investigate accidents and incidents in line with agreed severity protocols. Analyse and interpret accident, incident and near miss reports, make relevant recommendations and produce remedial action plans.
  • Continuous improvement- Manage audits across all managed properties. Review and interpret the results of these, providing relevant recommendations and insights to improve the employee experience and if needed produce remedial HSE action plans. Develop and agree practical risk management procedures and processes to effectively deliver strategies and KPIs and ensure legal compliance and deliver on our commitment to customers.
  • Meeting stakeholders needs- Resolve employee and customer service queries and issues in accordance with stakeholder expectations, contractual requirements; monitor service issues to prevent re-occurrence and prepare management reports for a variety of stakeholders including contribution to tender documents. Identify training needs of colleagues and implement training programmes to fulfil identified needs.

We would love to hear from people who

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Understanding of facilities management processes and system (Fire, gas, electric, emergency lighting, permits to work
  • Competency in COSHH management, Material Safety Data Sheet - MSDS (Industrial chemicals)
  • Competency in Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 (RRFSO) and/or Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006
  • Background in operational/ corporate audits and ISO 45001 standards
  • Knowledge and be able to output Display screen Equipment Risk assessments including any reasonable adjustments
  • Knowledge of mobile workers requirements, including lone working practices and UK driving law and Agile workers regarding H&S
  • Advantage- Background in Live warehouse/ logistics operations, (fork trucks, cranes, powered pump truck, PUWER, LOLER, manual handling risk)
