We are working on behalf of our client to recruit a highly skilled and proactive Health & Safety Advisor for a hybrid role covering multiple locations across the UK, with a primary base in Berkshire. The successful individual will provide essential safety support as a Health & Safety Advisor, fostering a strong safety culture across various operational environments.

  • Hybrid role covering UK locations, with a Berkshire-based ideal location
  • Salary of £40,000 per annum

  • Working hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm

The Health & Safety Advisor will play a key role in supporting health and safety compliance and best practices. As the Health & Safety Advisor, you'll be responsible for delivering operational safety standards and ensuring legal compliance across the organisation's UK sites.

Duties:
  • Provide health and safety support across over 20 UK locations through regular visits, inspections, and safety audits
  • Identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and support continuous safety improvements
  • Develop and review risk assessments, safe systems of work, and operational safety procedures
  • Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
  • Support compliance with UK health and safety legislation and relevant standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
  • Assist in maintaining legal documentation and ensuring safety policies are up-to-date and effectively implemented
  • Provide guidance and practical health and safety expertise to managers and staff
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Health & Safety Practitioner, Advisor, or in a similar capacity within the UK
  • Practical experience applying health and safety principles in operational environments (not predominantly office-based roles)
  • Experience within the automotive, commercial vehicle, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, transport, or similar industries
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to travel across multiple UK sites as required
