Building Staff Solutions (BSS) are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading contractor on a pharmaceutical project in Tipperary. This is a 2-month contract role supporting site management and project teams in maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance on a live construction environment.
Previous pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated industry experience would be a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities- Promote a positive safety culture across the project.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks.
- Monitor compliance with company and client health & safety procedures.
- Assist with the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and prepare reports.
- Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and client representatives on safety matters.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Irish health and safety legislation and project-specific requirements.
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification (Degree, Diploma, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a construction health & safety role.
- Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation.
- Experience on pharmaceutical, life sciences, industrial, or manufacturing projects desirable.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively on a busy construction site.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification required.
- Full driving licence preferred.
