Salary: £32,597.00 - £35,412.00 pa pro rata
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Term time only plus 3 weeks to be worked during the school holidays
Location: Horsham, West Sussex

What You Need to SucceedAs a Head of Year, you will lead a year group of approximately 230 students and a team of tutors, playing a central role in shaping the culture, outcomes and experience of students.
Responsibilities- Lead on behaviour, attendance, safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Work closely with senior leaders, staff, parents and external agencies
- Support and challenge students to meet high expectations
- Drive improvements in engagement, conduct and attendance
- Lead and develop a team of tutors
- Celebrate student success and promote a positive year group ethos
- Enjoys working with young people and building strong relationships
- Has high expectations and a commitment to student success
- Can manage challenge with confidence and professionalism
- Is well organised and able to prioritise effectively
- Is keen to develop their pastoral or leadership experience
- A friendly, supportive and committed staff team
- Strong pastoral systems and leadership support
- High-quality CPD and opportunities for development
- A school culture built on respect, care and high expectations
