We are looking for a Head of Talent Acquisition - UK to activate Talent and Talent Acquisition strategies aligned to our UK business strategy, ensuring HSBC attracts, develops, and retains top talent. This is a leadership role responsible for the people management and strategic oversight of the UK market and acts as senior point of contact for the service delivery model. The role holder will deliver proactive succession management, recruitment delivery, workforce strategy fulfilment and talent management across all Businesses, Group Infrastructure and entities within the UK.

In this role you will:
  • Proactively partner with Business and People stakeholders to respond to business priorities through the delivery of Talent and Talent Acquisition strategy and solutions
  • Be accountable for the UK market Talent Acquisition strategy and delivery including volume and specialist hiring ensuring fulfilment of the demand plan
  • Contribute to the Workforce Strategy with shared accountability for embedding skills strategies across Talent and Talent Acquisition
  • Be accountable for aligning, enabling, and activating global campaigns and experience practices through the region across Employer Branding, Inclusion and internal mobility
  • Be accountable for building and leading a high performing Talent delivery team aligned with our simplified proposition
  • Develop assessment frameworks and accelerate skills based hiring
  • Support succession planning with business aligned talent team members focused on Local Critical Roles successor development and increased succession readiness
  • Support the delivery of Talent processes that identify and address capability gaps, facilitate internal talent mobility and external talent pipelining
  • Provide reporting on progress on demand plan & continuously assess and improve talent performance metrics
To be successful you will:
  • Have previous hands on talent acquisition service delivery experience in a highly matrixed and fast paced environment
  • Have previous experience leading, developing and coaching sizeable cross-cultural teams
  • Have a strong understanding of inclusive talent strategy and practices
  • Demonstrate a background in the use of technology and AI to drive productivity
  • Have the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders including partnering with HR colleagues & OpCo's to promote a culture of talent development and succession planning
  • Experience leading and delivering sustainable change in an international context
  • Have the ability to define plans and budgets which identify value for revenue and opportunities for cost reduction

Please note this role is based in Birmingham on a hybrid basis, with 3 days in the office.
