Head of Supply Chain

About the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain function within the sector. The role includes managing procurement, supplier relationships, production planning and inventory control to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier & Procurement Oversight

  • Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance.
  • Review agreements, pricing and product quality.
  • Support contract negotiation and maintain strong supplier communication.

Financial & Cost Control

  • Track budgets and material spend.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining standards.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the supply chain team.
  • Oversee workloads, reviews, KPIs and day-to-day coordination.

Inventory & Production Planning

  • Manage forecasting, stock levels, and production scheduling.
  • Align supply with business demand.

Process & System Improvement

  • Implement best-practice processes.
  • Support system enhancements to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor key metrics such as inventory, delivery performance and cost.

Compliance & Sustainability

  • Ensure supplier compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Support sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives.

Risk & Performance Management

  • Identify risks within the supply chain and propose mitigation plans.
  • Produce regular reporting and performance updates.

About You

  • Strong background in supply chain management.
  • Experience leading teams and improving processes.
  • Analytical, detail-focused and commercially aware.
  • Able to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in supply chain or operations management.
  • Background in supplier management, planning, and performance reporting.
  • Professional qualifications desirable but not essential.
