The Role:As our Head of Strategic Growth, you will be at the forefront of driving Absolute's commercial growth. You'll lead the charge in developing and executing our sales and strategic strategy - from proactive outreach to tender responses and campaign alignment - with the backing of a skilled leadership and marketing team.
This is more than just a sales role. It's a strategic leadership position, designed for someone who can spot opportunities before they emerge, build trust quickly, and turn those relationships into long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:- Sales Strategy & Growth
- Own the new business strategy in line with Absolute's 2025/26 marketing roadmap.
- Build a clear plan for pipeline development and lead generation.
- Set performance goals and regularly report on KPIs and conversion metrics.
- Lead Generation & Pipeline Development
- Identify, pursue and convert new opportunities across key target sectors.
- Monitor all major tender portals and manage submissions with a strategic, tailored approach.
- Qualify inbound leads and shape compelling responses with support from internal teams.
- Nurture past contacts who have stalled and now ready to convert
- Deliver on agreed revenue & profitability targets (quarterly)
- Partnerships & Outreach
- Build a network of industry contacts, intermediaries, and potential clients.
- Develop strategic alliances and referral relationships that support long-term growth.
- Represent Absolute at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Pitches & Presentations
- Coordinate and deliver pitch activity from first conversation to proposal to close, alongside the marketing and creative teams.
- Work alongside senior leadership to tailor high-impact presentations and pitches.
- Support the creation of sales collateral, case studies, and credentials materials.
- Internal Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to align campaigns with business goals.
- Support the delivery of outbound campaigns and lead-nurture strategies.
- Work with the marketing team to update our CRM and maintain accurate records within ensuring visibility and accountability.
- Team Leadership
- Play a key role in building and leading the Strategic function as we grow.
- Manage recruitment and onboarding for new business team members as required.
- Proven track record: 3-5+ years in a similar business development or strategic role within a creative, branding, digital or content agency environment.
- A confident communicator: Comfortable representing the agency in client meetings, pitches, and industry settings.
- Commercially sharp: Able to understand client challenges, shape relevant solutions, and negotiate deals that work for all sides.
- Organised & proactive: Able to manage multiple opportunities, proposals and follow-ups with efficiency and focus.
- Team player: Works collaboratively with marketing, creative, and strategy teams to deliver outstanding results.
