Overview

Head of Sales - Compact Construction Equipment & Vans - South UK

An exclusive opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Sales with a successful dealer to build and lead a high performing and profitable department for the sale of compact construction equipment and vans. Experience within either sector is essential.

Role & Area

Role: Head of Sales

Area: South UK - Midlands, Southeast, Southwest

Salary: £60,000 per year, flexible for the right candidate

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organise, direct, and motivate the sales team through exceptional leadership
  • Hold compelling and collaborative sales meetings, manage overall sales activity to deliver opportunity, pipeline and ultimately sales targets
  • Develop and deliver processes to support the sales team to deliver results, identify and rectify areas of weakness or challenge
  • Overall P&L responsibility
  • Conduct training needs analysis (competencies and product knowledge) to develop the sales team
Qualifications
  • Experienced with deep knowledge of the construction and earthmoving industry and have fantastic, proven success in a sales leadership role, specifically in the earthmoving sector
  • Reporting of accurate data to the Board which reflects your departmental position
  • You have a successful track record of business development and exceeding your targets and have strong target orientation and pursue own goals
  • Previously experienced in responsibility for departmental P&L
  • You have a strong coaching approach to leadership, and you facilitate inspiring, informative and inclusive team meetings.
