Job Description

Climate17 are working with a global leader in renewable energy and asset management services to appoint a Head of Sales for their Asset Management division.

This is a senior commercial leadership opportunity within one of the most established and recognised businesses in the sector, focused on driving growth across utility scale wind, solar, BESS and emerging technologies.

The role is suited to someone with an established network within the renewable energy industry and a proven track record selling asset management, O&M, optimisation, or technical services into IPPs, funds, developers, utilities and asset owners across Northern Europe.

You will lead regional sales activity, manage and support an existing Sales Manager, and work closely with international leadership teams to secure and grow long-term service agreements across a broad portfolio of renewable energy assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business development activity for renewable energy asset management services across Northern Europe
  • Develop and execute regional sales and growth strategies
  • Manage complex B2B sales processes from initial engagement through to contract negotiation and handover
  • Build and maintain relationships with renewable energy investors, developers, IPPs, utilities and asset owners
  • Lead and support regional Sales Managers to deliver against revenue and growth targets
  • Collaborate with technical, operational, finance, legal and bid support teams across the business
  • Identify cross selling opportunities across wider renewable energy service offerings
  • Represent the business at key industry conferences and events
Requirements
  • Strong experience selling services within the renewable energy sector
  • Existing network and relationships within the renewables market
  • Background in renewable energy asset management, O&M, technical services, optimisation, or related energy services
  • Strong understanding of wind, solar and battery storage markets
  • Experience leading tenders, proposals and commercial negotiations
  • Proven ability to develop and win new business in a competitive B2B environment
  • Strong commercial, strategic and stakeholder management skills
Desirable Backgrounds

We expect successful candidates to come from renewable energy service providers, consultancies, asset management businesses, O&M providers, or related organisations operating within the wind, solar and energy storage sectors.
