An international fintech is expanding its global payments infrastructure and is hiring a Head of Sales in London to lead commercial growth across the UK and Europe.
The company operates a specialised multi-currency payments platform designed for complex and high-risk industries, enabling businesses to move funds globally while navigating regulatory and banking constraints. The platform is already supporting enterprise customers and generating meaningful revenue through payment orchestration and cross-border settlement solutions.
With further expansion underway across the UK, US and Asia, the firm is investing in senior commercial leadership to accelerate revenue growth and build a high-performing sales organisation.
The RoleThis is a player-coach leadership position combining hands on sales execution with team development.
Initially you will take ownership of the entire sales lifecycle, developing new client relationships, managing strategic accounts and building pipeline across industries where payments infrastructure is critical to growth.
Alongside your own quota, you will help scale the commercial team and implement the sales playbook for international expansion.
Key responsibilities include:- Winning new enterprise clients across payments-intensive sectors
- Managing complex sales cycles from origination through onboarding
- Building and executing a repeatable sales strategy for UK and European markets
- Developing pipeline through direct outreach, partnerships and referrals
- Leading and mentoring a growing international sales team
- Working closely with compliance and risk teams to ensure sustainable growth
- Contributing to broader go to market strategy as the business expands globally
The platform supports industries that require specialist payments infrastructure, including:
- Digital asset and blockchain businesses
- Online gaming and regulated wagering platforms
- FX / CFD brokers
- International merchants operating in complex regulatory environments
Typical solutions involve multi currency accounts, payment routing and cross border settlement capabilities for businesses operating globally.
What They're Looking ForThis role suits a senior payments sales professional who enjoys building markets and closing complex deals.
You will likely bring:
- Strong background in payments, fintech or banking infrastructure sales
- Experience selling into regulated or higher risk payment environments
- Track record of closing enterprise-level revenue deals
- Ability to operate as both individual contributor and team leader
- Experience managing relationships across compliance, risk and banking partners
- Multilingual capability (highly desirable for international client engagement)
Experience within payment infrastructure providers, EMI platforms or cross border payment firms would be particularly relevant.
LocationThe role is based in Canary Wharf, with the team relocating to a new office in 1 Canada Square.
Leadership presence in the office is expected at least three days per week.
