Job Description
Leading Payments FinTech client now requires a Head of Operations to take responsibility for operational delivery, regulatory execution and control discipline across Europe.
This role will lead Client Operations/Delivery teams, partner closely with Commercial on new business onboarding, and act as a trusted voice with regulators and senior stakeholders as the business continues to scale.
The role:- Provide day-to-day leadership across Client Operations and Client Delivery teams, resolving operational issues and building consistent operating rhythms across jurisdictions.
- Partner with the Commercial team on new business handover and onboarding, driving clients to first revenue while maintaining strong governance.
- Oversee vendor and distributor performance against SLAs and contractual obligations, working closely with Legal and Vendor Management.
- Support interpretation and execution of regulatory requirements (including central bank, FCA and EU regulatory frameworks), translating obligations into practical controls.
- Design, coordinate and oversee remediation plans arising from audits, reviews or regulatory findings.
- Represent the function with senior stakeholders, partners and regulators, including regulatory correspondence and meetings.
- Proven senior level experience in operations, risk or regulatory execution within a fintech institution, payments company or regulated financial services business.
- Strong working knowledge of UK & EU regulatory frameworks (FCA, CBI, DORA, AML/CTF); familiarity with EU-level guidelines is an advantage.
- A track record leading operational teams across multiple entities or jurisdictions, ideally spanning Ireland, the UK and wider Europe.
- Demonstrated experience designing and overseeing control remediation programs, including regulator-driven remediation.
- Confidence engaging directly with regulators and senior stakeholders, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This is a permanent position which provides a base salary of up to £110,000 + comprehensive benefits package.
In terms of working structure, this role is hybrid with 1-2 days per week in our clients Dublin office and the rest remote.
