Job Description
What we're offering
  • Salary of £120,000 - £140,000

  • Share options so you benefit from our success

  • 28 days paid holiday that increases once you get to 3 years of service, plus bank holidays, and an additional 5 unpaid if you want them ️

  • Hybrid working. We have a dog-friendly office in Shoreditch that the team works from throughout the week. Tuesdays and Thursdays tend to be the busiest, but you'll find good company on most days. This role requires regular in-office presence (at least twice a week). As the link between teams, being physically present matters

  • Regular (optional) socials. In the past year we've beaten a virtual escape room, been awestruck at Cabaret and sampled the best grub London has to offer

As a small but growing team, we're flexible and offer a level of autonomy that allows you to make meaningful and lasting contributions to Intruder and our customers.

About Intruder

We stop breaches before they start.

As attackers become increasingly sophisticated and move at lightning speed, Intruder has positioned itself as the essential defence platform that helps organisations stay one step ahead.

We do this with a platform that is:

  • Intelligent - we identify and help remediate issues that cause real breaches, and we provide meaningful context to the issues that we raise.

  • Vigilant - our platform reacts to changes in our customers' attack surface and the threat landscape in near real time, closing the window of opportunity for attackers.

  • Accessible - our platform is the easiest to use on the market. We empower not just security teams but also organisations without a dedicated security function - because when our customers can solve their security problems in seconds, they can spend the rest of their time focusing on what matters.

You don't need to be a cyber expert to secure your business with Intruder - Intruder is your cyber expert. That philosophy shapes how we build, how we sell, and how we hire.

In the past 2 years, we have grown rapidly in product capability, customer base, revenue, and employee size. The next few years promise more of the same.

About the role

We're looking for a Head of Product to own and drive Intruder's product vision, strategy, and roadmap, reporting into the CTO. You'll work closely with our Chief Security Technologist, who brings deep domain expertise and will be a key partner in shaping the product roadmap (particularly valuable as cybersecurity experience isn't a requirement for this role). You'll also work closely with the leadership team, and as the role evolves, there's scope to play an increasingly central role in company strategy.

This is a role with real strategic weight. Intruder is at an inflection point: our market is evolving fast, AI is reshaping both what we build and what our customers need, and the Head of Product will play a central role in shaping that evolution. This is about defining what Intruder becomes, not just optimising what it already is.

Our customers are mid market and small enterprise organisations with lean security teams. Typically the buyer is a CISO or Head of Security. Intruder has strong product led foundations (many customers discover, trial, and buy through self serve) but our ideal customers increasingly involve sales in the buying process. This role needs to think across both motions, ensuring the product experience supports self serve adoption and gives our sales and marketing teams what they need to win.

You will lead the product team and be as comfortable in the data as you are setting the 12 month roadmap.

This is a hands on leadership role. The product team today is one Product Manager, so you'll be setting strategy and doing the work: running discovery, shaping requirements, and driving delivery alongside the PM, while building and scaling the product function over time.

What you'll actually be doing
  • Define and own product strategy. Set the 9 12 month roadmap, grounded in customer insight, market dynamics, and commercial reality. Ensure every quarter has clear, measurable goals and that the team knows why they're building what they're building.

  • Build a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviours. Establish and improve feedback loops across the business so product decisions are grounded in real customer insight, not assumptions.

  • Drive product led growth. Own the self serve funnel: onboarding, activation, conversion, expansion. Use data to identify what's working, what's leaking, and where the biggest opportunities are. Ensure the product also supports our increasingly sales assisted motion for larger deals.

  • Shape Intruder's next generation of capabilities. You don't need to be a security expert, but you'll work closely with our CTO and Chief Security Technologist to define how AI transforms what we offer, from intelligent testing to automated analysis, and translate that into clear, sequenced product bets.

  • Partner with engineering, design/UX, the data team, marketing, and sales to ship high quality work at pace.

  • Actively coach and develop our PM and designers. You won't just manage, you'll raise the bar on how we do product and build a team that can scale with us.

  • Use data to prioritise ruthlessly. We're a 60 person company, so focus matters more than volume.

  • Be the glue that brings it all together. Product at Intruder is the connective tissue between every function, ensuring engineering builds a product that delivers real value to customers and is easy for marketing to position and sales to sell. You'll thrive here if you see your role as enabling the whole business, not just managing a backlog.

What you'll need
  • 7+ years in product management, with at least 2 in a leadership role at a B2B SaaS company. Experience with both PLG/self serve and sales assisted motions is a plus. Bonus points if you've done this at a company going through a similar growth stage.

  • Experience building and leading a product team.

  • A strong commercial and customer focused instinct. You're comfortable in revenue, retention, and conversion data, and you make prioritisation decisions based on evidence, not opinion.

  • The ability to operate at both altitude and detail. You can set the strategic direction and also get into the weeds on a specific user flow.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and evolving markets.

  • Obsessive about AI and how it changes the way product teams work. You're already using AI tools extensively (requirements, wireframes, prototyping, analysis, communication) and you're always the first to try something new. We need someone who will drive AI adoption across the product team, not just follow it.

  • Excellent communication skills. You'll need to present with confidence to the wider company and executive stakeholders, and clearly articulate the why behind product decisions.
