The Role of Head of New Business
As Head of New Business you will take ownership of a sales team of 6 who are selling subscriptions to a highly respected, market-leading business information platform which is used by marketers across many of the world's largest companies. Clients are a mixture of marketing agencies and direct brands (across all sectors).
Responsibilities include;
- Driving the new business strategy
- Managing, coaching and motivating a team of 6 sales people (2 x SDR's and 4 x BDM's)
- Managing the quality, quantity and direction of the sales effort (targeting methodology, data analysis, joint meetings, improving decks and proposals, sales training etc)
- 100% people management, coaching and development
Requirements for this Head of New Business role
- Strong sales leader/coach who is used to running new business subscriptions/SaaS teams
- Proven track-record of success
- A leader who supports their staff and staff development
- Knowledge of the marketing industry (eg how agencies work, what brand managers/CMO's do etc)
- Min. 6+ years new business sales experience
- Min 3+ years sales management experience (within subscriptions)
- Strong attention to detail
- Stable career history
