Sitting alongside the Head of Network Strategy, and reporting directly in to our Director of Strategy, Network and Fleet, as Head of Network Development you will focus on the near term (1-2 year) horizon for easyJet, optimising our 1,000+ routes to maximise the opportunity our ever growing capacity gives.

This is an extraordinarily impactful and exciting role within easyJet - where you can have an immediate and significant impact on the bottom line of one of Europe's largest airlines. Crafting network development plans for each season, you'll lead a dynamic team ofmore than 10 colleagues to further enhance our market leading position.

The role requires a strategic thinker to manage the deployment of our fleet across an extensive route portfolio, optimising profitability in alignment with easyJet's broader corporate goals. You will oversee the seasonal planning process, lead the Route Development Forum (RDF), and collaborate with colleagues across Scheduling and Operations to develop schedules that maximise fleet utilisation, customer satisfaction and the performance of our business. Also reacting to competitor activity, keeping easyJet one step ahead, you will ensure that we remain well on course to becoming Europe's most loved airline.

This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week, with some occasional travel required. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.

Some of what you'll get up to Planning and managing capacity deployment across routes to maximise both immediate and long-term profitability, aligned with easyJet's Network and Corporate Strategy.
Overseeing the seasonal planning process, including the execution of easyJet's Route Development Forum (RDF) to create a seasonal route matrix, collaborating with the Scheduling team to develop and expand peak week schedules throughout the season, considering fleet and crew availability.
Leading interactions with Fleet Planning and Operations to ensure comprehensive understanding of aircraft availability.
Reviewing commercial assessments of new routes and network points, providing go/no-go recommendations to the Director of Strategy, Network & Fleet.
Managing the new route and network point process, ensuring operational and commercial readiness for sale.
Handling ad-hoc capacity deployment change requests from other departments, providing recommendations to the Director of Strategy, Network & Fleet
Communicating seasonal network plans to the Airline Management Board and key stakeholders in collaboration with the Director of Strategy, Network & Fleet
Supporting the Network Strategy team in aircraft base allocation decisions and ad-hoc strategic work requiring route level knowledge.
Assisting in the budgeting process.
Monitoring competitor activity, mitigating adverse impacts from network, route, or schedule changes.
Ensuring the integrity and management of network department data, providing necessary access and training.
Driving efficiency across network teams by developing new tools, reports, and analytical capabilities.

What you need to do the role
Significant experience in airline Network Management, preferably with experience in a low-cost carrier
Deep understanding of an airline's commercial value chain and a proven track record in leading network management initiatives
Essential skills include high data literacy and the ability to use advanced analytics for developing network plans and enhancing commercial outcomes.
Must have a credible understanding of low-cost carriers and the competitive landscape of easyJet
Requires exceptional relationship-building skills, credibility at the C-Suite level, and awareness of stakeholder needs in a complex, international organisation
Significant management and leadership experience in an international setting, with a strong capability to manage change.
Ideally, minded towards innovative strategies to advance Network Management beyond its current practices
