Head of Line of Business Compensation, EMEA Corporate Title: Senior Vice President (Director Equivalent) - London

The Team

This role sits within the EMEA Compensation and Benefits (C&B) team, leading front office line of business compensation advisory and partnering closely with the regulatory and staff support compensation team to ensure programmes are competitive and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery and governance of compensation for front office businesses across EMEA locations.
  • Provide strategic advisory support to HR and senior business leaders on regulatory requirements, compensation planning, and market competitiveness.
  • Coordinate all front office line of business compensation advisory activities.
  • Advise and influence partners on compensation strategy, programmes and processes to drive fact based decisions.
  • Coordinate cross line of business compensation activities through the annual cycle, driving consistency and best practice.
  • Partner with the regulatory team to provide line of business perspective and contribute to regulatory projects.
  • Ensure appropriate governance and control activities.
  • Contribute to the development of compensation processes and practices across the region.
Qualifications
  • Robust experience of compensation practices within a large multi national financial services firm.
  • Experience with EMEA financial services compensation regulations.
  • Previous experience managing a small team.
  • Strong initiative, project management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and proven ability to engage diverse audiences collaboratively.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Ability to operate successfully in a matrix environment, manage multiple stakeholders and escalate appropriately.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to summarise and articulate complex legislation, processes and data into clear information.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel with capability to manage large, complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint and Word.
