• Salary: The gross salary scale applicable to the post is €90,005 - €115,759per annum on a full-time basis (rates effective 01/06/2026).

The Head of Legal Affairs will be a senior member of the Governance Unit reporting to the University Secretary. They will play a pivotal and supportive role working within a multidisciplinary function that encompasses legal affairs, internal audit, compliance, risk management, policy management, internal controls, and data protection.

The postholder will contribute to the provision of strategic oversight and organisational intelligence along with specific legal advice that supports informed decision-making and provides institutional assurance. The role will promote the highest standards of professionalism and integrity as part of the University's legal and governance framework which supports effective operations, robust compliance, and sound risk management. The Head of Legal Affairs will specifically provide expert legal advice throughout the organisation and contribute to the development of a strong governance culture that serves the interests of the University.
