Job Description

I am currently hiring a Head of Learning & Development / Talent Development for one of my clients for a period of 12 months on a fixed term contract.

Based Northamptonshire or West Midlands with some travel.

Our client is on a mission to create a Learning Academy that will shape the future of their workforce. They are looking for an individual who can design, launch, and embed a learning culture that supports long-term business growth.

The requirement:

- To build a 5-year workforce plan aligned with the business strategy
- Prioritise and develop learning pathways for key skills (e.g., Engineering, Sales, Site Management)
- Define roles, skills, and experiences - and match them with the right learning methods
- Partner with external providers to deliver high-impact training
- Create a certification framework and map career paths
- Design a branded learning experience accessible to all employees

What my client is looking for:

- Proven success in launching a Learning Academy in a technical/industrial setting
- Experience engaging offline/frontline teams in learning
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with high EQ and the ability to influence across diverse teams, able to flex your communication style

- ideally suited to someone with experince in a multi site business within manufacturing, logistics or similar

This is a superb opportunity to make a lasting impact by building from the ground up. You will work with the wider HR team and Business as well as the HR Director.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract but comes with the possibility of a longer term/permanent opportunity.

Mainly onsite with some flex to work from home.

Salary up to £85,000 per annum
