As a Head Of IT, you will lead the day-to-day direction of technology operations, cyber security and strategy for a professional services consultancy. You will ensure IT activity supports reliable business operations and clear priorities across the company.

Description

• Define and deliver the organisation's IT strategy, aligning technology initiatives with business goals and future growth plans.
• Provide leadership across infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, business systems and end-user technology.
• Ensure technology services remain secure, reliable, scalable and cost-effective.
• Lead internal cyber security, governance and risk management programmes.
• Oversee access management, vulnerability remediation, data protection and security compliance.
• Maintain and enhance business continuity, disaster recovery and backup capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes through technology, automation and AI-driven solutions.
• Manage IT budgets, procurement activities and relationships with external technology partners.
• Drive continuous improvement across the internal technology estate.

Profile

A successful 'Head Of IT' should have:

• Demonstrable experience leading an internal IT department or technology function.
• Strong technical expertise across Microsoft 365, cloud services, networking, infrastructure and workplace technology.
• Proven track record of developing IT strategies, operational frameworks and security controls.
• Solid knowledge of cyber security principles, risk management and data governance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, supplier management and project delivery experience.
• Commercially aware with the ability to balance business needs and technology investment.
• Experience with Azure, endpoint management, device security and identity management solutions.
• Understanding of security and compliance standards such as ISO 27001 and ISMS frameworks.
• Experience creating and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery programmes.
• Professional certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CISM or similar are advantageous.
• Exposure to technology transformation, automation and AI implementation initiatives.

Job Offer

• Permanent Head Of IT position based in High Wycombe.
• Salary of £80,000 to £100,000, dependent on the level of experience.
