Location: Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 remote

Are you an experienced IT leader ready to step into a critical, high-impact role within a growing and ambitious organisation? We're recruiting for a Head of IT to join a dynamic business entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation.

With over employees UK wide and a turnover of £100M+, this business is scaling fast, and IT is at the heart of that journey. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational continuity, maintaining and advancing the organisation's technical infrastructure, and driving long-term digital strategy.

This is a hands-on leadership position overseeing a small but capable IT team and managing the day-to-day operational performance of the company's IT systems and infrastructure.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring business continuit, while maintaining strong governance across security, infrastructure, and device management. You'll work closely with the external MSP on strategic and project-based work, and will act as the internal voice of IT across steering groups and board-level meetings.

• Lead and manage the internal IT function, overseeing BAU support and proactive system maintenance.

• Maintain compliance with ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.

• Oversee the ticketing system, internal hardware builds, and onboarding processes for new starters.

• Manage and maintain both on-prem and cloud-based solutions.

• Build and strengthen the relationship with the MSP, challenging constructively and ensuring best value and service delivery.

• Contribute to commercial decisions, identifying cost savings and optimising tech procurement.

• Attend and contribute to board meetings, acting as the senior IT representative across the business.

• Support the business with office moves, digital transformation strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Proven track record in senior IT management or leadership roles.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure, security, and risk management.

• Experience working with external IT partners or MSPs - confident in managing and challenging suppliers.

• Familiar with ISO and Cyber Essentials standards.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• Commercially astute with experience in procurement and cost optimisation.

• Comfortable engaging at board level and navigating senior stakeholder relationships.

• Resilient, adaptable, and confident in environments with strong personalities and ambitious growth plans.

• A critical, standalone leadership role with real influence.
