Head of Infrastructure and Cloud

Location: Hybrid Permanent

ClearCourse is seeking an experienced Head of Infrastructure & Cloud to lead our hosting strategy and cloud platform capability across our growing portfolio of software businesses.

Reporting to the Director of Platform Operations, this is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and managing a secure, scalable, and cost-effective infrastructure estate across cloud and hosted environments. You'll lead a team of Cloud and Infrastructure Engineers, driving platform reliability, governance, and operational excellence while working closely with Security, SRE, Platform Engineering, and Finance teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically credible leader who enjoys balancing strategic direction with hands on operational oversight in a complex, multi environment technology landscape.

• Define and deliver ClearCourse's hosting and cloud infrastructure strategy
• Lead and develop a team of Cloud and Infrastructure Engineers
• Oversee the design, provisioning, and management of cloud and hosted environments
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) standards and cloud architecture best practices across the Group
• Ensure infrastructure environments are secure, resilient, and highly available
• Partner with Security teams to maintain robust access controls, logging, and compliance standards
• Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to support CI/CD infrastructure requirements
• Manage cloud spend, optimisation initiatives, and FinOps activities alongside Finance teams
• Ensure effective monitoring and operational governance across the infrastructure estate

• Experience within a PE-backed, acquisitive, or multi-product technology organisation
• Knowledge of CI/CD infrastructure requirements and platform engineering practices
• Experience supporting disaster recovery and business continuity programmes
• Exposure to M&A activity, including integration of acquired infrastructure environments
