Senior HR Leader - National Multi-Site Organisation

Our client, a leading organisation operating across multiple sites in Ireland, is seeking an experienced Senior HR Leader to drive strategic HR initiatives and support the delivery of high-quality services nationwide. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to play a pivotal role in shaping organisational culture, workforce strategy, and high-performing teams.

About the Role

The Senior HR Leader will join the organisation's Senior Management Team and provide professional, forward-thinking HR leadership. The successful candidate will lead an established HR function, develop robust HR strategies, and ensure alignment with organisational goals. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong operational and strategic capability, excellent stakeholder management, and proven experience in driving HR excellence across multi-site environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level strategic and corporate HR leadership as part of the Senior Management Team.
  • Promote evidence-based HR practice and support continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the HR team while advising senior executives on all HR matters.
  • Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels and ensure effective communication throughout the organisation.
  • Oversee workforce planning, including manpower forecasting, succession planning, recruitment, and retention strategies.
  • Lead the development and implementation of HR policies aligned with best practice, legislation, and national standards.
  • Manage HR operations within agreed staffing levels and budgets, ensuring effective pay control.
  • Provide expert support on employee relations matters and represent the organisation at external forums when required.
  • Lead organisational training and development strategies, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate HR and training records.
  • Evaluate and enhance HR systems to meet evolving service needs.
Key Requirements
  • A business degree or equivalent relevant qualification (postgraduate qualification advantageous).
  • Minimum of 10 years' senior-level HR leadership experience.
  • Proven track record managing HR functions across multi-site operations.
  • Demonstrated success in project management and delivery of complex HR initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proven leadership ability with experience developing and empowering teams.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Solid understanding of HR systems, payroll oversight, and compensation frameworks.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide as required.
