The postholder will play a key role in the strategic planning, sourcing and delivery of additional clinical capacity required to ensure the Health Board can deliver safe quality services to patients, working closely with senior operational and clinical colleagues to ensure due process is followed through the planning, procurement, evaluation implementation and ongoing monitoring.

Ensuring reliable and robust systems / processes are implemented to ensure safe transfer and tracking of patients to and from providers and once treated activity is validated for payment in accordance with contractual and finance frameworks.

Ensures all contract expenditure is correctly and appropriately recorded and accounted for in line with legal and statutory accounting guidelines, procedures and timescales, and that all relevant notes and supporting documents are completed as part of the Welsh Government Statutory NHS Accounts and monthly Monitoring Returns, through the completion of own work and through the supervision and coordination of the work of others.
