Job Description

As Head of Finance, you will lead the financial strategy and day-to-day operations of the business, overseeing a capable team and providing sound counsel to the Executive Leadership Team. You'll play a key role in translating data into actionable insight, empowering departments with the financial clarity they need to thrive.

The Role

  • Leading and mentoring a high-performing finance team
  • Preparing monthly management accounts with insightful analysis and commentary
  • Partnering with the Executive Leadership Team to shape long-term financial strategy
  • Overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across the business
  • Maintaining robust internal controls and ensuring legal compliance in all financial operations
  • Driving improvements in systems, reporting, and efficiency
  • Presenting complex financial data clearly to non-finance audiences
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for external finance advisors and stakeholders

The Person

You are a proactive, hands-on finance leader who can balance big-picture thinking with precision and rigour. You thrive in a collaborative, creative environment and take pride in building financial strategies that empower people and shape lasting growth.

Experience and Skills

  • A higher-level accounting qualification (preferably CIMA or ACCA)
  • Extensive experience in a senior finance position, preferably from a marketing agency background
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong mathematical acumen
  • Experience with modern accounting platforms (ideally Xero)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and analytical thinking
  • Able to confidently present financial insights to senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable juggling strategic oversight with operational delivery
  • Desirable: Commercial and/or residential property background
  • Desirable: Knowledge of or experience in the luxury hospitality or travel industry

The Specifics

  • This role is approximately 24 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm
  • You will have 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, and your birthday off
