Head of Finance - UK
Reporting to: UK CEO, dotted line to Group CFO (International HQ)
A dynamic and fast-growing technology company is seeking a commercially minded Head of Finance to lead the UK finance function. This is a key leadership role, ideal for someone looking to progress into a Finance Director position within 1-2 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for the UK entity
- Provide strategic insight to guide decision-making and boost performance
- Manage and develop a high-performing finance team
- Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements
- Handle all UK tax obligations (VAT, PAYE, corporation tax)
- Own the year-end process and reporting to group finance
- Coordinate external audits and statutory accounts
- Ensure reporting aligns with UK GAAP and group standards
- Act as a finance partner to UK leadership and collaborate with international teams
- Drive improvements in financial processes and systems
- Maintain robust controls and support risk governance
What We're Looking For
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- 5+ years' post-qualification experience in a senior finance position
- Experience in SaaS, tech, or professional services preferred
- Proven team management and development experience
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
- Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- International business experience is a plus
