Job Description

This role will provide leadership of a multi-disciplined engineering team that delivers design & build projects across A-GAS's European sites. Working closely with the European Leadership team, it will help develop strategic decisions for capital investment plans and oversee their delivery. The role involves prioritising projects appropriately, collaborating with Engineering and Operations stakeholders to ensure designs are fit for purpose and constructed on time.


Essential Requirements

  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • Excellent people & leadership skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and strategic planning.
  • Proven experience in engineering project delivery.
  • Experience in building and leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
  • Skilled in performance management, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Experience in preparing CAPEX submissions.
  • Experience with HAZOPs, EMOC, and MOC processes.
  • Understanding of industrial safety systems design.
  • Good commercial awareness (make vs buy, contract management).
  • Experience in a chemical, processing, production, or manufacturing environment.

Desirable Skills

  • A strong background in engineering design and management.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards including ATEX.
  • Technical knowledge including Process Safety Management.
  • Understanding of the PED and its requirements.
  • Knowledge of fractional distillation and similar techniques.
  • Experience dealing with regulatory bodies.
  • Experience working within the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning industry.
