Job Title: Head of Economic Crime Prevention Oversight

Salary: £114,810 - £171,174 (depending on location)

Locations: Birmingham, London, Leeds, Halifax, Edinburgh

Hours: Full-time

Work Pattern: Hybrid, involving at least two days per week at an office site

Your role involves engaging across the Group, advising on improvements, analyzing data, controls, and processes to keep customers, colleagues, and the bank safe. Day-to-day responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the Group's ECP Oversight activities.
  • Support and challenge internal and external stakeholders on ECP risk mitigation.
  • Influence key partners and contribute to strategic planning, especially within BCB and CIB.
  • Lead, support, and motivate the ECP risk team within the Group's 2nd Line Framework.
  • Ensure ECP risks are understood, mitigated, and managed effectively.
  • Advise on policies, assurance, oversight, and testing activities.
  • Assess and report on ECP oversight, highlighting issues and developing action plans.
  • Shape prevention, detection, and disruption strategies based on threat assessments.

What you'll need
  • Deep knowledge of ECP Risks in onboarding, monitoring, and BCB/CIB.
  • Experience in developing and executing oversight plans.
  • Ability to advise and influence senior leadership and risk owners.
  • Strong communication skills to align strategic direction with group objectives.
  • Technical expertise in ECP Risk and related business areas.
  • Experience in change management and organizational awareness.
