Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic professional to assume the role of Head of Dispute Resolution. This senior position is responsible for leading the organisation's dispute management processes, ensuring effective resolution of conflicts, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional negotiation skills and a comprehensive understanding of dispute resolution mechanisms, contributing to the organisation's reputation for fairness and integrity.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive dispute resolution strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Lead negotiations in complex disputes, ensuring favourable outcomes while maintaining positive relationships.
- Oversee the resolution process for internal and external conflicts, including contractual disagreements, regulatory issues, and client disputes.
- Provide expert guidance to management and staff on dispute management policies and best practices.
- Manage a team of dispute resolution specialists, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
- Analyse dispute trends and recommend improvements to policies and procedures to minimise future conflicts.
- Liaise with legal teams, external mediators, and other relevant parties to facilitate effective conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organisational standards throughout dispute processes.
- Proven experience in dispute resolution, negotiation, or related fields at a senior level.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully resolving complex disputes favourably.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities to manage teams and coordinate multiple cases simultaneously.
- Sound understanding of legal principles related to dispute management is desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the capacity to assess situations critically and develop strategic solutions.
- Relevant qualifications in law, conflict management, or alternative dispute resolution are advantageous but not essential.
