The role:This role is to lead the execution and delivery of engaging content, from thought leadership and topical articles to marketing and report content. The team you will manage will create content and editorial positioned as experience, brand, or proposition-led for consumer audiences to service brand, and client satisfaction and retention objectives. This requires the team to write for multiple audiences and levels, making technical information more accessible or enabling multiple purposes. The thought leadership roles in your team will feed off insight and requirements provided by the business to be the ideation engine for owned media thought leadership, educational materials, and topical news articles. Finally, the report writing roles in your team will research, edit and write key regulatory reports, including consumer duty and sustainability responsibilities.
What you'll be doing:- Oversee the production of insightful, audience specific content across multiple channels, including digital, newsletters, and long form reports.
- Design, develop and implement a cross company content strategy aligned with brand, advice, investment, and wealth management objectives.
- Increase the quality and range of content produced at SJP within a brand cohesive voice and one which conforms to consumer understanding requirements.
- Ensure all content meets compliance and regulatory standards while remaining engaging and accessible.
- Manage and mentor a team of content creators, promoting creativity and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with leadership teams to craft messaging for key events, media, and stakeholder communications across all medium types.
- Lead initiatives to enhance content distribution, leveraging new platforms and technologies with the aim of enhancing SJP's brand and voice.
- Maintain content governance, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective archiving.
- Track and report key content performance metrics.
The ideal candidate is a strategic content leader with experience managing high performing teams. You will have a strong editorial background, such as previous experience on National or trade titles in financial services with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a compelling and accessible way. A deep and broad understanding of financial services and investment markets, alongside excellent stakeholder management skills, will be key to your success. You thrive in a fast paced environment, balancing creativity with regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience leading content teams within financial services or a related field.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with expertise in investment and wealth management topics.
- Strong ability to translate complex financial information into clear, engaging content for multiple audiences and formats.
- Experience managing content strategy, production, and compliance processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and collaborate across departments.
- Experience producing content in various formats, including video, podcasts, and infographics.
- Knowledge and ability to repurpose content while maintaining consistency across different channels.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting, such as Consumer Duty and sustainability disclosures.
- Strong understanding of digital content management and analytics tools.
The role will require at least 2 days in either the Cirencester or London office locations and may require occasional visits to other locations - to attend meetings, conferences, and events.
