Take Ownership:
- Establishing and overseeing policies for onboarding, AML, sanctions, KYC, and transaction monitoring - ensuring risks are caught without compromising smooth customer experience.
- Designing and maintaining a simple, documented, and actively used compliance framework that ensures fairness, protects data, and keeps criminal activity out.
- Translating evolving regulations into clear, actionable requirements that enable trusted growth, fair communication, and safe automation.
- Strong experience in financial services compliance (covering AML, KYC, sanctions, conduct, duty of care, and data protection).
- Ability to design and test controls, lead thematic reviews, and independently monitor effectiveness of transaction monitoring, alert handling, and investigations.
- Skilled in engaging with regulators and external partners - confident, clear, and timely in communication.
- Pragmatic mindset: able to balance regulatory obligations with customer-centric, frictionless product design.
- Proven ability to guide teams with clarity and courage, ensuring first-time-right execution.
